We always see those portraits of baroque composers looking so dignified and straight-laced. Those images don't convey the whole story – such as the slovenly composer who stashed food in his hat, the hothead who jumped out a window during an argument, or the church organist who almost had a fistfight with one of his students. True confessions of musicians behaving badly this week on Sunday Baroque.
Sunday Matinée
Airs Sundays at 1 p.m. on WSHU-FM, WSHU-AM, WSUF, WSHU-HD 1 and WSHU-HD 2

Musical instruments, like other human tools, have been invented and re-invented over the centuries. This week on Sunday Matinee you can hear the instruments of the orchestra as they were and as they are – historic harpsichords and baroque flutes alongside the highly developed modern versions of the same instruments – and you'll hear some marvelous music along the way. Join David Bouchier for "Musical Inventions."
